Agios Nikolaos (Selinitsa) is a picturesque fishing village of Messiniaki Mani and a known destination for vacations. It is located on the Messinian Gulf shore, 30km southeastern to Kalamata, 6km southern to Stoupa and belongs to Lefktro Municipality of Messinia Prefecture.
The village was firstly inhabited during the period of 1830-1840 and the inhabitants were occupied exclusively to fishing and they exchanged the fish to other products at the neighbouring villages.
During the last decades Agios Nikolaos managed to develop the tourism of the area by creating facilities for hosting of tourists and offer them lovely and comfortable vacations. Source
